Since not
everyone can afford luxurious spa treatments, Atelier
Esthetique Institute may be just the place to visit to
get spoiled - at a reasonable price. Students at this
state-licensed esthetics and waxing school who have
passed the practical portion of their clinical studies
are eligible to perform services under the supervision
of a licensed instructor. Products used include Aqua
Sante from the Brittany coast and copper-based Simple
Solutions, both developed by institute founder Annette
Hanson, and Cirepil waxes from Paris. Through June 30,
basic facials, usually $40, are $30; deep-pore cleansing
facials, usually $50, are $40; ultra-copper firming
facials, usually $60, are $50. Hydrating seaweed face
and neck facials, usually $57, are $47; glycolic
facials, usually $50, are $40; paraffin facials, usually
$50, are $40. Microdermabrasion, usually $125, is $100;
back treatment, usually $35, is $25. Add-ons include
paraffin hand treatment, $15; eye contour treatment,
$15. Waxing: brow, $8; lip, $5; full arm, $20; half arm,
$10; underarm, $8; half leg, $18; full leg, $35; bikini,
$15.
